MATTHEW STEVENS CRITTENDEN

PRESIDENT + ARCHITECT

Matt Crittenden

Matthew Stevens Crittenden founded MSC Design in 2005 with the goal of creating thoughtful, functional, and enduring spaces that support both brand identity and operational success. As a licensed architect, Matthew brings a deep understanding of how buildings perform. As a designer, he focuses on creating environments that are welcoming, memorable, and highly executable.

With nearly three decades of experience, Matthew has led the design and development of restaurants, hospitality venues, retail spaces, senior living facilities, luxury condominiums, and private residences. A significant portion of his work has focused on fast-casual and full-service restaurant brands, where he has helped clients establish, refine, and expand their brand presence across multiple locations.

Matthew believes great design is a collaborative process. He works closely with clients from conceptual design through construction, ensuring that each project aligns with brand standards, operational needs, schedules, and budgets. His hands-on, inclusive approach has resulted in long-standing client relationships, particularly within the hospitality industry, where many of MSC Design’s earliest clients continue to partner with the firm today.
